Meet the Resident Assistant Team for 2012
February 21, 2012
Last November and December Yarra House embarked on a recruiting drive for Resident Assistants for 2012. Each member of the Resident Assistant (RA) team has been living in student accommodation for at least one year and is familiar with the ins and outs of being a tertiary student.
The 2012 RA team consists of: Josh Head, studying Illustration at NMIT; Claire Campbell, studying Journalism at RMIT; Elspeth Lang, studying Massage at NMIT; Josh Castricum, studying Building Surveying at NMIT; and Anna Polack, studying Fashion Merchandising at RMIT. This year’s team offers a high degree of individual skills and qualities, which will benefit both the group, and Yarra House community.
The RA team has just completed training, including First Aid and Mental Health First Aid. They are now equipped to manage the Residential Life events that will be run this year, and to assist residents, as required, after hours.
The first challenge the team will face will be delivering a fantastic O- Week, where Yarra House residents will have the opportunity to attend daily events run over 7 days, and to meet the fellow residents they will be living with over the next year or so.
For more information on O-Week or to purchase an O-Week ticket, please contact Yarra House reception.
